AK Galerie is a diverse, contemporary art gallery in Berlin, founded by the young, German-born gallerist Anna Kimmerle. Having lived in Paris, London and Zurich, Anna became inexorably drawn to Germany’s creative capital, Berlin, where she has lived since 2014.

The youngest of five children raised in Bavaria, Kimmerle grew up in an artistic, cultural household and developed an interest in human nature and interpersonal relationships, which stimulated her interest in Psychology and the Arts. After studying Clinical Psychology, she decided to pursue her passion for art and founded the gallery, seeking out artwork that arouse emotion and thought within those engaging with it.

Kimmerle’s interest in the mind involves self-expression and human behavior. These two things are intrinsic to the arts. They are key components that Anna looks for when engaging artists and appraising their pieces for AK Galerie.
