AK Galerie × Dae Mon: A New Collaboration Begins

Last week, AK Galerie celebrated the beginning of an exciting new collaboration with Dae Mon, one of Berlin's most renowned contemporary restaurants. Together, we officially launched the AK Gallery Wall—a new exhibition space that brings contemporary art into an exceptional culinary setting.

To mark the occasion, we hosted a vibrant Summer Fest, welcoming artists, collectors, partners, and friends of the gallery. Throughout the evening, guests experienced works by Louis Chapheau, whose paintings transformed the restaurant into a unique dialogue between contemporary art and gastronomy.

The evening celebrated not only the opening of the AK Gallery Wall but also the shared vision of AK Galerie and Dae Mon: creating spaces where creativity, conversation, and culture naturally come together.

As the next step in this collaboration, we are pleased to announce our Open Call – "Open Minded Cuisine." We invite artists to submit existing or newly conceived works that explore themes of openness, diversity, and fresh perspectives. Selected artists will exhibit their work at Dae Mon during Berlin Art Week, while one outstanding participant will also be featured in AK Galerie's upcoming winter exhibition.

Applications are open until 30 July 2026.
