“COURAGE”

by Barbara Pecora

Love?

Trust? Courage? Can one exist without the others? No.

Without Trust and Courage, no Love survives. Love can only be protected through Courage. Courage to say what you stand for. Courage to say what you want, or not. Courage to say what hurts you. And courage to change something. To lose Courage or be abandoned for your own path. For what fills you with joy. Courage; to criticize openly, to face up. To risk loss for the Truth. For Honor. For Confidence. Truthfulness. Trust in yourself. Look in the mirror with Courage. Upon your own soul. To ask: Hey, are you worth me liking you? To stand up straight for your beliefs. To go your own way, your own life. Love is also being brave enough to let someone go. And also to go your own way. Courage to stand by someone. In good and in bad times. From man to woman. From friend to friend. From mother to child.

Each of us has been betrayed. Injured. Each of us knows the ugly pain of being ambushed. It’s the death of all Trust. Where there is no Trust and no Courage, there is no Love. Protect your existence and everything it entails…. with courage… !

Charles Bukowski would say:
FUCK THE COWARDICE
